I’ve been really into the Switch lately.  I’m also in the mood for a JRPG.  So, I went off to the eShop in search of games.  After shuffling through the eShop for several minutes I stumbled upon Antiquia Lost.

Gravity Rush Remastered Review

Gravity Rush, known as Gravity Daze in Japan, was originally released on the PlayStation Vita in 2012.  Created by Keiichiro Toyama of Silent Hill and Siren fame, Toyama had come up with the concept nearly 10 years before the game’s release.  A hidden gem on the Vita, Gravity Rush is an open-world action-adventure game centered around gravity manipulation.

Super Mario Galaxy Review

Not much needs to be said about the Mario franchise.  His legacy is solidified in the annals of gaming history.  The Italian plumber is iconic and has been in some of the best games ever made.  The concept for Super Mario Galaxy can be traced back to Super Mario 128, a tech demo of the GameCube shown at Nintendo Space World 2000.  Shigeru Miyamoto and Yoshiaki Koizumi wanted to make a Mario game with gravity and spherical platforms as a major component.

Freedom Planet Review

Retro crazes have exploded in recent years.  Video games are certainly no exception to such trends.  There have been countless games that use retro aesthetics to capitalize on nostalgia.  Pixel art and sprites have dominated the indie scene.  These games often give nods to the mascot platformers of the 16-bit era.  Stephen DiDuro’s Freedom Planet falls into this category.
